The West Coast
Jason Schwartzman is much fun.
The West Coast lyrics by Jason Schwartzman
For a second there I thought you disappeared
It rains a lot this time of year
We both go together if one falls down
I talk out loud like you're still around
no oh...
And I Miss you.
I'm going back home to the west coast
I wish you
would put yourself in my suitcase
I love you
standing all alone in a black coat.
I miss you
I'm going back home to the west coast
Come on everybody...
And if you shake her hard then she will appear
Tonight I think I'll be staying here
And you never didn't like this town
I talk out loud like you're still around
No no
And I Miss you.
I'm going back home to west coast
I wish you
would you put yourself in my suitcase
I love you
standing all alone in a black coat.
I miss you
I'm going back home to the west coast

If I close my eyes and listen to this, it's like I'm listening to the colors of a faded rainbow.

a whimpering, simpering child again
I can't get enough of this song. It's his voice! It's bewitching!

Things that make me happy
Driving home on a perfect late afternoon. The kind of afternoon that brings to mind childhood memories of frolicking in the park, because that's where I'd be if I were 9-years-old without a care in the world on a gorgeous day like this.
And singing along (badly!) to the loveliest Brazilian song.
(Everything's okay for that little while on the drive home.)
